Registered Kinesiologist

Elysian Health is seeking a part-time Kinesiologist to join our collaborative, patient-centered team in South Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary clinical setting where you can apply your knowledge in functional movement assessments, program design, exercise prescription, and strength training education to support a diverse client base aged 17 to 90 – including those with chronic disease, heart disease, low muscle/bone density, and falls risk.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Conducting comprehensive functional movement assessments.
Designing and instructing individual and group exercise programs.
Educating clients on safe strength training, lifting techniques, and exercise progression/regression.
Working with patients with chronic disease, mobility limitations, falls risk, and post-injury needs.
Charting and case management using our clinical software (Jane experience is a plus).
Leading small group training sessions and health education seminars.
Applying motivational interviewing and stages-of-change coaching techniques.
Monitoring vital signs (BP, HR, blood glucose) as part of client assessments.
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support overall patient wellness.
Bringing energy, compassion, and a sense of fun to your work and client relationships.
Who You Are:
Experienced & Certified:
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years experience in a clinical or performance setting.
Certified through BCAK
Technically Skilled:
Competent in exercise assessment, prescription, coaching, and progression/modification.
Experienced working with chronic and complex health conditions.
Knowledge of falls prevention, gait training, and balance therapy.
Familiar with electronic systems like Jane, and confident with written and verbal communication.
Person-Centered & Passionate:
